Anekantvad

The concept of Anekantvad (and intellectual ahimsa) in Jainism is one of the most beautiful ideas I ever came through.

wiki says - "It refers to the principles of pluralism and multiplicity of viewpoints, the notion that truth and reality are perceived differently from diverse points of view, and that no single point of view is the complete truth."

We never see the whole of reality and truth, which is multidimensional and multifaceted. Truth is relative to our point of views. It is incomplete and partial, and we can't know the absolute or complete truth. What we see is the truth but only partial and incomplete.. what others see is also true but can be different from what we see.

Read it yourselves :) here and here.
