Downside of compassion

I spent May 2014 in India. Last two-three years of my life has been like life at mysteriously fast speed. Anyways :)
Before leaving for India, I saw 'Captain America - The winter Soldier' and wanted to share couple of quotes. (btw, my heart kept googling Emily VanCamp after the movie :P). Its strange how we find quotes that fit our mood. Last week, I went to watch 'Million ways to die in west' and in that hilarious comedy I liked some real serious scenes and quotes ! I knew it was my mood and not the movie. anyways, back to Captain America -
- As long as I can remember, I just wanted to do what is right. I don't know what that is anymore.
- We all got the same problems – guilt, regret.
- Captain, in Order to build a better world, sometimes means tearing the old one down... And that makes enemies.
- S.H.I.E.L.D. takes the world as it is, not as we'd like to be!
...and then today one of my friends forwarded me this -
Downside of compassion - If you're a good person, you're bound to feel guilty sometimes.
at one point it says - Ironically, your warmest, most concerned and caring feelings may end up generating considerable distress in you as well.
